How To Stop Undercharging and Overdelivering
This was originally posted on my Seven Figure Consultant LinkedIn Newsletter. Subscribe today to get insights about how women are building powerful and impactful consulting businesses.
Often when I speak to women who aren’t seeing the results they want to, particularly in the area of revenue and profit, it becomes clear that what feels like one issue is actually the result of these two issues: undercharging and overdelivering.
No-one plans to do this when they set up their consulting business. It might be that when you started reading this article you knew straightaway this is what you’ve been doing with your consulting clients. But sometimes it can take us some time to actually see this at play. It is so hard to see your own business clearly.
Making progress with putting an end to undercharging and overdelivering in your business isn’t just about raising your prices and offering fewer components in your client contracts. You need to tackle the issue at the root. As women, we get bogged down by undercharging and overdelivering because we are caught in a pattern of believing the wrong things.

In this episode of the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast I am talking about how to stop doing this in your consulting business.
I talk about:
● Having blind spots in our business
● The emotional toll of starting a business
● Pricing as if you need companies to do you a favour by hiring you
● Putting professional boundaries in place with your clients
● How to shift out of a negative mindset

Free Report – The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Consulting Business
I’ve created a free PDF report called The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business. It’s my most popular free resource and in it I outline the 6 areas of unscaled businesses that need to change in order to move past being ‘booked up and burned out’ and shifting into that higher gear that gets you cruising again.
It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.
Thanks for reading! I’d love to hear your feedback and future topics you’d like me to feature.
